Phil Hawley & Associates has had considerable experience in the solid waste management field. Phil Hawley was, for seven years, the waste manager for the City of Wollongong. The "Waste Not" Development Control Plan (DCP) has been adopted by many NSW Councils. This requires the preparation of a Waste Minimisation and Management Plan that has to be submitted with most development applications. Phil Hawley & Associates has completed many Waste Minimisation and Management plans for developments ranging from small residential projects to multi storey aged care facilities and industrial projects , and has an extensive database of waste minimisation practitioners and other contacts to assist clients in minimising their waste costs. We have assisted Councils in the preparation or review of their Development Control Plans, including the development of generic "tick and flick" type Waste Minimisation and Management Plans for routine type developments, such as domestic construction.
The preparation of these plans requires careful consideration of both the construction of the development, as well as its ongoing use. The plans need to be developed in conjunction with the client’s operating requirements to maximise the long term benefits to the client.
